It seems fairly easy for politicians without military theory to recognize the morality issues in domestic contexts. In contrast, they have little experience of military contexts, and thus the blunders without military advice are not only inevitable but also understandable.

This is a fascinating statement of Petraeus’ underlying approach to the insurgency.

Someone needs to explain to this President
that Actions speak much LOUDER than WORDS.

To make speeches about re-concilliation with the
Muslim middle east, at the SAMETIME as we continue
to BOMB and kill scores of civilians, parfticuarly in
Afganistan and now Pakistan, can only further
enflame the situation, in underscoreing the sheer
hypocracy of the US postion.

And how come we know this, but those in charge
don’t ?!
