Jesus! An entire Army of Cheerleaders in Washington D.C.!

How tragic...

Someone once told me somethin' :" No Action,Talk Only".

He was talkin' 'bout the general APATHY of those 'round him.

Your truly,

When I read Bacevich's critique of U.S. Strategy, I used Boyd’s four elements of grand strategy:

Improve our morale and that of our allies
Degrade that of our opponents
Attract the uncommitted
Without setting the stage for future (unfavorable) conflict

The Bush and neo-con strategy violated all of these principles. Yet, no one in Washington does anything but talk.

A leader acts, displays moral courage through strength of character regardless of the consequences.

Perhaps if the leadership of the U.S. wouldn't be so UNILATERAL in their actions & maybe if they don't constantly PORTRAY other powers ( Russia, china,& the Rest ) as Clear & Present Dangers, they might "attract those who are uncommited" to join their ranks in coping with the GWOT (a.k.a. The Long War).

Who knows, the U.S. might even be able to enlist the GENUINE help of foreign experts to solve her fiscal, social & strategic problems within & without.

Just my 2 cents. I don't represent any institution or governing body, of course.

Do you have a URL for the original testimony, or a date and a venue to track it down independently?

Thanks,
